We must Stand Up! We must Pray!

It is time to Stand up! Beloved, we must not be quiet. We must stand up by getting on our knees! It is time to pray!

Like most people, I have been watching the news and tracking the Kavanaugh hearings.  (Disclaimer: Do not worry, I am not writing a post in support of anyone or wanting to discredit anyone. This post is not political.) My heart goes out to all involved, and that also includes anyone who is suffering from after-effects of abuse and those who falsely accused.

As followers of Christ, we must be agents of peace; to work to bring comfort to those who are hurting. We must actively be seeking justice and truth.  Micah 6:8 clearly states,

 “He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the LORD require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?” (ESV)

We Must Pray!

There is one crucial action we must take,  PRAYER!  Prayer is a radical form of protest. To protest the violence, the victimization of women, the abuse and the lies, we must engage. We must make it a safe environment for abuse survivors to be able to speak out.  Lies and false accusations must be investigated and when the truth comes out, accept it.  What the fact is, we must seek to bring it out. The evil which we are watching being played out before us on our television screens. The time to rise has come, and we do this by falling on our face, by dropping to our knees in prayer. No longer can we sit back and watch believing we are helpless. We are NOT!

Instead of marching and yelling, let’s bow in humility and pray.  Let’s gather with other believers and storm the throne room for peace. We are called to walk in peace and unity.  The time has come to show the world what happens when we come together to fight the wrongs of the world by engaging in the fight by pleading heaven for His purpose, His grace to overcome the battle that is raging.

Dear ones, join us as we pray! Jump in the discussion and prayer at His Beloved Jewels Chat!

In His love,

My Summer Reading List

Summer Reading List

 I LOVE to read! This book nerd especially enjoys commentaries and researching information of all kinds, preferably for Biblical understanding.  I am of the belief that if I don’t use it, I lose it. That goes for most things in life, such as my health, well-being and especially my intellect. You might guess, I crave… Read More
